Modhelm documentation
Everything you need to set up Modhelm for your Roblox game: from inviting the bot to API keys, reports, unban requests, verification and white label.
Getting started
- Getting startedInvite Modhelm, set it up in the dashboard and handle your first report. Takes about five minutes.
- Connect a game with an API keyCreate a Roblox Open Cloud API key with the right permissions, add it to Modhelm and keep it working. No HttpService needed.
- Permissions and rolesWhich Discord permissions the bot needs, who can use which command, and how dashboard access works.
Moderation
- Reports and decisionsHow players report, what your team sees, and how bans, temp bans, acquittals, priors and notes work.
- In-game reportsLet players report from inside your game. A small Luau module writes reports into a MemoryStore queue, Modhelm reads them through Open Cloud. HTTP requests stay off.
- Unban requestsThe waiting time rules (30, 90, 180 days), automatic declines, how players appeal and how your team decides.
- VerificationNetwork wide verification with Discord and optionally Roblox, roles, nicknames and automatic verification on join.
White label and service
- White label botRun Modhelm as your own Discord bot with your name and avatar. Step by step from the Developer Portal to the dashboard.
- Custom domainPut your portal and verification on your own domain, for example appeals.yourgame.com. DNS records step by step.
- Moderation serviceHow our team handles your open reports, what stays with your team, and how moderations are counted.
Reference
- Data protection for server ownersWho is responsible for what, how to inform your players, retention, deletion requests from Roblox and exporting your data.
