Player area and linking
The area for players at /connect and /me, linking Discord and Roblox one to one, the 180 day rule, account recovery and taking back the consent per server.

Players have their own area at Modhelm: modhelm.com/connect and modhelm.com/me. There they link Discord and Roblox, see their requests and bans, decide which servers may see their data and get help. As a server operator you set nothing up here, but it helps to know the pages when players ask.
Signing in at /connect
modhelm.com/connect is the entry for players. You sign in with Discord. The Discord account is the Modhelm account. You can also connect your Roblox account, so servers know it when you verify. After signing in, /connect shows the same area as /me.
The parts of /me
| Part | Address | What it shows |
|---|---|---|
| Account | /me | Your accounts, where you are banned and your requests at a glance |
| Connections | /me/connections | Linked accounts, the Roblox sign in of this browser, servers that may see your data, signed in devices and app notifications, each with a way to end it |
| Requests | /me/requests | Where you are banned, with Send a request, your unban requests for Roblox and Discord, timeouts and report blocks with their state, your reports and recoveries |
| Data | /me/data | Your verification and its servers, consents with date and version, the download of all data and the deletion |
| Support | /me/support | Open a ticket in the support Discord and recover your account |
Each person only sees their own data. Reasons or names of others never show. On a server's own domain there is a separate My data page at /me inside the portal.
Linking Discord and Roblox
One Discord account belongs to exactly one Roblox account, and one Roblox account to exactly one Discord account.
- The player signs in at
/connectwith Discord and connects their Roblox account. - They check both accounts, tick the box and click Link accounts.
- Modhelm stores the Discord ID, the Roblox account, the date and a proof of the consent.
If the Discord account is already linked to another Roblox account, the player has to disconnect the old one first. If the Roblox account is linked to another Discord account, they can release it if it is theirs.
The link alone gives no server any data. Every server asks first. See Verification.
The 180 day rule
A link can only be changed once every 180 days, for every Discord and every Roblox account. This way nobody can get around a ban by switching accounts. Disconnecting does not reset the 180 days. The page names the date from which the next change is possible.
If someone has a good reason, for example a hacked or lost account, support helps with Contact support.
Recovering an account
Anyone who lost access to their Discord or Roblox account starts the page Recover your account under Support (/me/support/recovery). An ID card is never needed.
- Which account is it about? The Roblox account (name, ID or profile link) or the old Discord ID.
- Show that the account is yours: Modhelm shows a code. The player puts it into the "About" text of their Roblox profile, saves and clicks Check my profile. The code works for 60 minutes and can be deleted afterwards. If they can still sign in with the Roblox account, Sign in with Roblox is enough instead.
- The support team checks: a ticket for the request opens in the support Discord. The result comes by direct message.
There is no code for an old Discord ID. The team then checks the stored proofs. The state shows on the page: In review, Approved, Not approved or Cancelled. With Cancel request the player takes it back.
Taking back the consent per server
Under Connections there is the section Servers that may see my data. The player sees every server with what it sees and its state: Allowed, Declined, Taken back or Verified before this page existed.
With Take back, the server no longer sees the data and the role there is removed. The verification for other servers stays. As a server operator you don't need to do anything. Modhelm removes the role itself.
