Unban requests

The waiting time rules (30, 90, 180 days), automatic declines, how players appeal and how your team decides.

The rules

  • A player can only ask to be unbanned while a ban is active.
  • The first request is possible 30 days after the ban started.
  • After the first rejection, the next request is possible after 90 days. After the second, after 180 days.
  • After the third rejection no more requests are possible for this ban.
  • Only one open request at a time.

You can change the waiting times and the number of attempts for your server in Settings → Appeals.

Automatic declines

A request that comes too early is declined right away with a message in your server language, for example: "An unban request is possible 30 days after the ban, so from March 3." Automatic declines do not count as an attempt. Your team never sees them in the queue.

How players appeal

  • In Discord with /appeal. It uses the Roblox account the player linked during verification.
  • On the portal at modhelm.com/g/your-server/appeal. The player logs in with Roblox, which proves the account is theirs, and with Discord, so they get status updates.

Players write why they should be unbanned and answer your own questions, if you set any.

What your team sees

The request appears in your appeals channel and in the dashboard with the player profile, the active ban (reason, duration, who), all priors, the evidence of the related reports, your notes, the player's text and the attempt number, for example "attempt 2 of 3".

Deciding

  • Accept lifts the ban in your game through Open Cloud.
  • Reject sets the date of the next possible request.

The player gets a direct message for every status change. Requests always go to your own team, also when you use the moderation service.
